DIRECTOR, Ben Nisbet
Benjamin Nisbet enjoys a diverse career as a musician and arts administrator. As a violinist, he holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Arizona. He was a member of the first violin sections of the Tucson Symphony and Arizona Opera Orchestras. He currently serves as co-concertmaster of True Concord Voices and Orchestra, a chair he occupied for the group's 2015 double Grammy nominated recording Far in the Heavens. He was also a violinist in the acclaimed Kingfisher String Quartet. Mr. Nisbet also enjoys an eclectic career as a violinist and guitarist for rock, jazz, and other modern music groups, with many recording credits to his name. As an administrator, he is currently the Artistic Administrator of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2015.
