Quotable Bach

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Beethoven's Lunch with Brobeck Print

The SABS will present a FREE informal lecture on Beethoven's Violin Sonatas in conjunction with the performances by violinist Steven Moeckel and pianist Paula Fan on Monday, August 3, 12:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church (545 S. Fifth Ave. ).  This “Beethoven’s Lunch with Brobeck” will be presented by  Dr. John Brobeck , musicologist and Associate Professor of Music History at the UA School of Music and will look at  Beethoven through the lens of his violin sonatas.

Inspired by Rev. Robert B. Williams, creator of the original "Bach's Lunch", the public was invited to bring their own brown bag lunch and dine while listening to the lecture.

Seating is limited and reservations are required.  Please contact the SABS if you are interested in attending this lecture or call (520) 323-2771 to reserve a seat.
