All concerts will be held at Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (2331 E. Adams). Single tickets For the Bach Lives II Concerts will be $15 Adult, $10 Student. A $5 discount will be offered to those who purchase tickets to both Friday (8/13) and Sunday (8/15) concerts. Payment is by cash or check only and tickets are available only at the door. Doors will open one hour prior to the concert's start time. Seating is General Admision. Doors will be closed when seating capacity is reached. Bach Lives II: “The Inspired Harpsichord, Part One” Friday, August 13 7:00 PM with Steven Moeckel, violin; Mark Votapek, cello; Lindabeth Binkley, oboe Award winning harpsichordist and early music specialist Elizabeth Farr performs Sonata in D minor for solo harpsichord, BWV 964. Also joining her in this concert are Steven Moeckel (Sonata for violin and harpsichord No. 2 in A major, BWV 1015), Mark Votapek (Sonata for violoncello and harpsichord No. 2 in D major, BWV 1028) and Lindabeth Binkley (Sonata for oboe and harpsichord in G minor, BWV 1020). Bach Lives II: “The Inspired Harpsichord, Part Two” Sunday, August 15 3:00 PM) with Harpsichordist Elizabeth Farr is featured in J. S. Bach’s Concerto for Harpsichord in D minor, BWV 1052 as well as the Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro, in E-flat major, BWV 998 and the Prelude and Fugue in A minor, BWV 894. She will be joined by the St. Andrew’s Bach Society Chamber Orchestra lead by Music Director and violinist Steven Moeckel. The Concerto for Violin and Oboe in C-minor, BWV 1060 (Steven Moeckel, violin and Lindabeth Binkley, oboe) will also be performed. |
